About Us
Michael Starmer-Smith
Ararius was founded by Michael Starmer-Smith in Autumn 2019
He is a well-respected corporate banking specialist, who has spent the last 20+ years at Deutsche Bank in London and New York and at Lloyds Bank. Mike has extensive global experience working in partnership with Treasurers and CFOs of some of the leading companies in the world
Mike is recognised as a subject matter expert in optimal treasury management, the full spectrum of corporate banking products and services, including: company funding and investment solutions and associated risk management
Most recently he has been working in the Technology sector including as an investor and company director. Together with LidoBranding (a hospitality sector consulting company) and Balkerne (an insurtech company), Ararius has established a new venture, Aius, which won funding from Innovate UK, the UK's innovation agency. Together they have built a digital solution to make hotels more resilient in these uncertain times and prosper towards a sustainable future
